- Understand procedures and techniques for the administration of medication
- Prepare for the administration of medication
- Administer and monitor individuals’ medication
Practical learning outcomes requiring the demonstration of skill:
- Be able to receive, store and dispose of medication supplies safely
- Be able to support use of medication
- Be able to record and report on use of medication
Please note: after completing this course the learner should be observed by a senior member of their team to ensure they are totally competent in the administration of medication required for their role.
